Our Story
My name is Gila, the proud owner of the Cornish Tea Party Company. Originally founded by my two God daughters who shared a deep appreciation for vintage china, the business blossomed from their shared passion for scouring charity shops and auctions in Cornwall for exquisite and authentic tea sets. Their mutual love for antiques and baking were the foundations on which the Cornish Tea Party Company was built.

I've had a love of baking from a very young age and always dreamed of it becoming my career. My friends and I had often joked about me leaving my job and following my aspirations to become a professional baker. I never thought this could have been possible until the day the girls told me they were selling the business. Knowing this was a big dream of mine, I couldn't let the opportunity go so decided to make a drastic decision and buy the company off my God daughters. This was the best decision I could have made.
My ambition for the Cornish Tea Party Company is to continue to elevate and grow in every way possible. With my speciality being bespoke events, there’s no limit to what I can cater for. No matter how extraordinary, we aim to please everyone.

What makes us different?
When it comes to event catering, my aim is to ensure that the experience is not only unique but also memorable. I strive to create ideas that go above and beyond, showcasing the full potential of what can be achieved. This led me to take a significant leap by introducing my mobile catering van, offering a fresh and exciting approach to delivering tea parties at small, intimate events. The mobile van is a fantastic addition to the company that gives a small insight into what we have to offer. We serve a variety of baked goods straight from the van, such as cakes, brownies, scones as well as tea, coffee and freshly made lemonade.
To further elevate the ambiance of our tea parties, we have our waitresses and helpers dressed in exquisite vintage-style attire. This attention to detail aims to provide guests with a truly special and enjoyable experience.
